Soccer Practice : Learn To Teach Soccer

Here’s a really simple way to be successful at teaching and training various techniques/skills in Soccer practice. Three different techniques are there that the kids can learn. There is no difference when it comes to teaching a soccer skill or any other skill. These training methods are called differently by different people. “FIG” is how I would like to describe it. Subsequent paragraphs will have the illustration of this term.

Foundation: In soccer training, this consists of the base upon which the team’s coming stages and eventually the entire future as a team would rest. As such these comprise the lowest level of training. It’s necessary for every kid to know and learn these skills even when these are of no use in actual game. What is most important for a team to be versatile in the field of soccer is to have a strong basis.

Intermediate: Halfway i.e. intermediate what the letter “I” means. As the name suggests, these middle level skills are imperative to link the basic skills with the game skills. This is where the difference between actual game skills and these middle level techniques must be clearly understood. Game skills in soccer coaching are different from the intermediate skills. But these are the building blocks to build up the actual game skills.

Game: G refers to the skills that are necessary for a player to learn for playing the game. These are the essential skills that are necessary for all players to learn so as to perform in live matches.

Soccer practice

In soccer drills, it’s always beneficial to adopt the method of demonstration and performance. This means that you follow a standard teaching format of giving an introduction, then explaining the body, and wrapping up with the conclusion. In soccer practice, the players must be told what you will instruct them about. Then do those particular things which will help them imitate it. In the end, have them do it.

Instructing has 3 vital ingredients; one, players must be taught to perform. For this, introduce them to the skill to be taught and educate them on how it would help them learn and play better soccer. Secondly, show them how to perform that trick. Show the players the skill or technique you wish them to learn. It is true that young players learn better by watching.

Finally, make the kids practice the tricks. They must be given sufficient time and guidance to practice and master that skill. Do not hesitate in repeating drills so that kids get to learn better. Do not speak a lot. In its place, show them what you want them to learn.

In conclusion, instruct them about their performance in soccer practice. Also tell them what steps they need to take to improve even more. Put this to the test right away and I promise, you’ll be amazed at the amount of ease and success it brings to your regime.
