Being a soccer coach yourself, you must know that coaches eye the strongest players to make up the most promising team. Sometimes few young new players are required who can fit the existing set up.
During soccer tryouts there are lot many variables that needs to be considered.
In order for your kid to be successful ensure his talent and personality is aptly exhibited in the area the coach is looking for.
A player has to exhibit the following things which the coaches and soccer association will be looking for
Skill: The main aspect of evaluation of the coach of how well the player performs the skill that are necessary to play soccer. If players can’t perform these skills consistently during soccer tryouts, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to perform during a game. the ball should be in control during tapping, dribbling passing Evaluate the player based on his intuitive behavior and his knowledge on soccer
Conditioning: A player with excellent conditioning coupled with average skills will always attract the coach’s eye. A player who loses breath just 15 mins into soccer tryout will be treated similarly If the stamina of the player is low during tryouts soccer, they let both themselves and the team down.
A coach will wonder why this player didn’t bother to get in shape or keep in shape. if you are not in shape in soccer it show either of the following that you don’t care or you are lazy or you very un professional thinking that being out of shape wouldn’t matter.
Attitude: the player should always try to learn and also should have the potential Do the player exhibit the potential to perform all the task to his best every time?
Does the player have the open mind to accept his fallacies and improve on his skills Are they flexible? Does the player have the open mind to accept his fallacies and improve on his skills without any complaints are they willing to learn new positions.
When the soccer tryouts are over; pay attention to what happens next. Many times tryouts are conducted over a number of days. Sometimes the coach will tell you right there if your player made it to the team. Sometimes they will notify you with a letter or call you at home. Never approach the coach asking about your players’ status
Make sure you don’t leave your things on the fields before leaving the ground. Salutation your coach properly and thank him for providing valuable lesson and making you a better player for the soccer tournament
